From the Lynnhaven River and Broad Bay to Rudee Inlet, Back Bay and the Chesapeake Bay shoreline, Virginia Beach has more waterfront homes than almost anywhere in Hampton Roads, and plenty of docks, bulkheads and boat lifts that need building or replacing. Below are local marine contractors who serve Virginia Beach. Contact them directly; there are no lead forms and no middleman.

Permits in Virginia Beach
Most waterfront work in the city goes through a Joint Permit Application, and many projects are reviewed by the Virginia Beach Wetlands Board, which meets on the third Monday of each month. Applications are due by the first of the month before the hearing. City fees are $230 for waterfront construction and $450 for projects that affect wetlands. Most contractors handle the paperwork, so ask when you get an estimate.
